In class we experimented with photoshop and created our own short animations. I had never used photoshop in this way before, so this was definitely a new experience for me.

Re-Cut Trailer: The Notebook
For this class assignment, we were asked to download a movie trailer and re-cut it to change the genre. I chose the romantic movie, The Notebook, and changed it into a horror film about the attack of birds. It's a bit rediculous, but fun as well. :)

Audacity Sound Project
For this in class assignment, we were asked to record a variety of fun and interesting sound clips and create a short rhythmic sound clip. My partner and I made simple noises, with things like a granola bar wrapper, a juice bottle, shoes, and even a paper towel dispenser. After we recorded our sounds and uploaded them to the computer, we each made our own unique sound clip. I started by moving the clips around, and overlapping a few. I strategically overlapped all the sound clips that sounded like clicks. I had a little difficulty deleting clips, but with help from my professor I figured out how make everything work and flow smoothly. This project definitely opened my eyes to the Audacity program.

There's Always Time for Sunsets
Art. It's such a simple word, but it can be responsible for some of the most beautiful, imagintive, complex creations in the world. Art is universal, and art is emotional, and art truly has no boundaries.
Since I was a little girl, painting and drawing and creating has been my playground. On bright and sunny days, I can throw myself into artwork, and even on days where the rain does not seem to stop and bed was far too hard to get out of that morning, I can always escape from reality and get lost in brush strokes and color.
Art has taught me to see beauty before anything else, and also to appreciate the finer things in life. There's always time to stop and stare at a golden, pink, and blue sunset, smearing the sky and changing before your eyes.
